Calico Basin

we went to calico basin as a fam (1st time in a long time).

while the kids usually don't want to go hiking, once we're there, they have fun.

In the interest of time, I ended up carrying both Jacob and Greta for about a mile. Now I am sore. Since the weather in Kherson has probably not been above freezing for a month, it seems unkind to post that it was warm in short sleeves. But it was.

I have become a partner in the blog world with Paul. Any video work will be Pauls and any journaling will be mine. There probably won't be much from me since I only have 1 hour of the day to myself and often I am too tired to do anything and Paul is on the computer during that time.

Here is a lovely picture of the children in the poppies in Mantua. I love to see the children surrounded by nature.

Featuring some extended family, the filming of this epic took place across two continents, had several set artists, language coaches, and went way over budget. Special appreciation to the guest appearances and the structural consultants who made the scale construction of the tower possible.

Sarah isn't pictured in this one, but she was crying during takes. I narrated, because I had the time, it being Sunday, I being alone while K and kids are off enjoying themselves. Boo hoo.

We shot this a while ago, and it's a little slow; hence the non-conventional soundtrack. Also, as with most of our films, there are a bunch of goofs--you can see the boom mike in one of the scenes, there's a continuity issue or two, and at least one misinterpreted scripture. But Rebekah in the title role is very suited. If anything will save this film at the box office, it will be her stellar acting.
